Sell the experience by the party, not by the head.
A family standing on a harbour wall deciding what to do this afternoon will book you in under a minute: pick the date, say there are four of them, pay. That’s the whole flow. Behind it sits the part they never see — your capacity, your guides’ diaries, and a card that’s only charged once you know the trip is going ahead.
Walking and boat tours, guided experiences, activity days, adventure and outdoor operators
This is for you if…
- You run the same experience on many dates, with a guide and a capacity.
- People book as a group, and you need the number so you know the boat or the minibus is right.
- Weather, tide or numbers mean a date sometimes doesn’t run.
- A meaningful share of your bookings happen on a phone, outdoors, in a hurry.
How people book: A party on a date
An experience runs on dates, each with a capacity. The visitor chooses a date, taps the number coming with them, and pays — one screen, one thumb, done at the bus stop. You get the party size and the lead booker’s details, which is what you need to run the day.
The words it uses
These aren’t settings you have to configure — they’re simply what the app calls things once you’ve told it what you do. Menus, page titles, dashboard tiles and emails all follow.

What matters here
Nothing is charged for a date that doesn’t run
Set the minimum number an experience needs. Cards are held rather than charged, and only taken when you confirm the date is going ahead. Cancel for weather and no money ever moved — no refunds to process, no card fees eaten, no goodwill spent.
A diary per guide
Each guide has their own calendar, so two experiences that need the same person can’t both be sold. Add guides as the season demands: the plan is chosen by how many people take bookings, and nothing else is metered.
Built to be booked on a phone
The page is your own — your photographs, your colours, your domain on a Pro plan — and the booking flow is a date, a number and a card. Guests don’t need an account, and can find or cancel their booking from the confirmation email.
Which plan you’d be on
A single guide running their own trips is Solo. Once a second person is leading departures you need Team, which covers up to ten diaries; Large Team removes the limit for a busy season.
HR is a separate, optional add-on at a flat price per person, on every plan, with no cap on how many people you add.
Questions we get asked
- How much does a guest have to fill in?
- A date, how many are coming, and their own contact details. Party size is a counter, so a family of five is one tap rather than five sets of details — which is what keeps a phone booking from being abandoned halfway.
- What happens if I cancel a departure for weather?
- If you were holding cards rather than charging them, nothing was ever taken, so there’s nothing to refund. Cancelling a date notifies the people booked on it.
- Can I take seasonal guides on and off?
- Yes. Your plan is decided by how many people can take bookings, so the question is only which band you’re in — there are no per-booking or per-guest charges at any size.
- Can I sell the same experience at different times on the same day?
- Yes. Each departure is its own date with its own capacity and its own guide.
