Run the course. We’ll handle the paperwork it leaves behind.
Training is the trade where the booking is the easy part. What follows it — a named register, a certificate per person, an expiry date somebody has to remember, an invoice addressed to a company rather than a delegate — is where the evenings go. Lili Pod was built for training first, and it knows about every one of them.
First aid, health & safety, forklift, food hygiene, corporate and vocational training
This is for you if…
- You run scheduled courses with a fixed number of places, and a course only runs if enough people book.
- Every person who attends walks away with a certificate, and somebody has to know where it went.
- Half your bookings come from an employer booking several staff on at once, not from individuals.
- Somebody in your business is keeping track of when tickets expire, probably in a spreadsheet.
How people book: Seats on a session
A course runs on dated sessions, each with a number of places. Customers pick a date and book seats — and they name the people taking them, because a training register is a list of individuals, not a headcount. Places are counted from those named rows, so two people booking the last two seats at the same moment can’t both succeed.
The words it uses
These aren’t settings you have to configure — they’re simply what the app calls things once you’ve told it what you do. Menus, page titles, dashboard tiles and emails all follow.

- Instructor
- A scheduled date of a course

What matters here
Certificates on file, against the right person
Where your course is accredited, the certificate is the awarding body’s own document and issuing it stays with you — we don’t make templates. What Lili Pod does is hold the record: each certificate filed against the person who earned it and the session they earned it on, with its expiry date, available to them in their own account instead of in an email somebody has to go and find.
Refreshers, before the phone call
Every certificate carries the date the qualification runs out. Lili Pod watches those dates and prompts the renewal ahead of time — so a lapse becomes a rebooking instead of an awkward conversation with an employer whose team is suddenly non-compliant.
Companies, not just people
Training is the one preset where corporate clients are first-class: employers exist as companies with their own people, their own booking history and their own certificate records. When an HR manager asks who from their team is still in date, that’s a page you open, not an afternoon you lose.
Only charge a course that’s going ahead
Set a minimum number for a session to run and we hold the card instead of charging it. Confirm the session and the cards are taken together; call it off and nothing was ever charged, so there’s nothing to refund and no fee lost either way.
Which plan you’d be on
One instructor teaching everything is Solo. A training centre with several instructors on the schedule is Team; multi-room or multi-site operations run on Large Team. Certificates and compliance tooling are on every plan — they aren’t an upsell.
HR is a separate, optional add-on at a flat price per person, on every plan, with no cap on how many people you add.
Questions we get asked
- Do you produce the certificates themselves?
- No. Most accredited courses carry the awarding body’s own official certificate, so producing and issuing it stays with you. Lili Pod keeps the record — filed against the right attendee and the right session, with its expiry date tracked.
- Can an employer book several of their staff onto one course?
- Yes, and that’s the normal case rather than an edge case. They book the places and name each delegate, and the whole booking sits against their company record along with everything else they’ve booked with you.
- What happens if a course doesn’t reach its minimum?
- Nothing is charged. Cards are held and only taken when you confirm the session is running, so cancelling a quiet date costs you and your customers nothing.
- Can we track when certificates expire?
- Yes. Expiry is recorded against the certificate and drives the refresher prompts, so the renewal is offered before the qualification lapses rather than after somebody notices.
