Offers & discounts
From the Offers tab you can switch on ready-made discount models that suit your trade. Pick one, fill in a couple of fields, and it runs itself.
How offers behave
- They apply themselves. Most offers need no code — the price a customer sees is already the discounted price, struck through against the original, with a small chip naming the offer (“Happy hour · 20% off”).
- Only the best offer applies. If more than one offer could apply to a booking, the single biggest saving wins — offers never stack, and the applied offer is always named honestly.
- You can target them. An offer can apply to your whole business, or to specific courses, services, dishes or sessions.
- The price is checked server-side. The discount is worked out at the moment of booking, not trusted from what the browser sends — so the price a customer pays always matches the offer’s real rule.
- Timed offers count down for real. If an offer has a start or end window, customers see a live countdown to when it opens or closes — not just a static date, so a happy hour or an early-bird cutoff feels urgent because it genuinely is.
The offer models
| Offer | How it works |
|---|---|
| Timed discounts | A percentage or £ off during a window — a one-off sale, or a weekly recurrence like “Tue–Thu, 5–7pm” (happy hour, dish of the week). |
| Welcome back | A percentage off automatically applied when a customer’s email has at least one prior completed booking with you. |
| Kids eat free | Per paying adult, a number of children free or at a percentage off — shown as the saving builds while a party is added at booking. |
| Early bird | A percentage off when a customer books a set number of days ahead of the session or visit date; the chip shows the real deadline. |
| Refer a friend | A share link. Both sides benefit: the friend gets a percentage off their first booking, and the person who referred them gets the same percentage off their next one. |
| Discount codes | A named code (e.g. SUMMER10) you mint for print or social campaigns — % or £ off, with an optional expiry, a maximum number of uses, and a once-per-customer limit. Customers type it in a quiet, collapsed “Have a code?” field at checkout — it competes fairly with any auto-applied offer, and never stacks with one. |
Setting one up
Open Offers in the sidebar (visible to ranks with the right permission). The empty state shows a gallery of model cards ordered for your business kind, each with a one-line plain-English promise. Tap a card for a short sheet — value, a window or recurrence if it’s timed, and a target if you want it limited to specific items — with a live preview of exactly what customers will see as you fill it in. Publish it, and it joins “Your live offers” with an on/off switch; editing reopens the same sheet.
The on/off switch just pauses an offer — it’s still there, ready to switch back on.Delete removes it outright, behind a confirmation, and can’t be undone.
